Cleanliness Drive - 2026

EVENT OVERVIEW

The event witnessed active participation from Grant Thornton employee volunteers, supported by The WE Foundation’s on-ground teams, ensuring smooth coordination and execution across all locations.

The event commenced with a brief opening address by the anchor, welcoming the Grant Thornton employee volunteers and introducing The WE Foundation. The session highlighted the significance of National Cleanliness Day, the vision of Swachhata, and the growing environmental risks associated with single use plastic waste.

This was followed by an interactive quiz-based engagement activity, where participants were encouraged to guess the time taken for different types of plastic materials to decompose. The activity helped reinforce awareness in a fun and relatable manner. As a token of appreciation, participants were given saplings, symbolizing sustainability and environmental responsibility.

A guided warm-up and stretching session was then conducted to prepare volunteers for physical activity before the commencement of the clean-up drive.

At the conclusion of the clean-up drive, all groups reconvened, and the collected waste bags were weighed group-wise. The groups with the highest, second-highest, and third-highest quantities of collected plastic waste were announced and appreciated for their efforts.
