Green Energy

Goal 7 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) talks about “ensuring access to clean and affordable energy, which is key to the development of agriculture, business, communications, education, healthcare and transportation.”

Our focus areas:

  • Promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind in off-grid and remote areas.
  • Implementing energy efficiency programs to reduce overall energy consumption in communities, businesses, and public spaces.
  • Offering training programs on renewable energy technologies, installation, and maintenance to local communities.
  • Building local capacity to ensure the sustainability of implemented projects.
  • ridging the energy access gap by deploying decentralized energy solutions.

Our green energy projects are executed through evidence-based implementation strategies. We collaborate with the Government and private stakeholders. Additionally, we leverage diverse communication channels, including television, radio, print media, and social media to engage with the wider public, raising awareness about our initiatives and promoting sustainable practices.

Gifting underprivileged Tribals of Naardigochha Village a quality life: An MDG Village initiative

Nardigochha is a remote tribal village having no permanent all-weather roads to connect with the rest of the world. It is located within the reserve forest area of Daspalla Block (local government unit) having only tribals as its residents. They used to earn their livelihood by collecting products from the forest and little bit of cultivation. Failing to sustain their family was forced to go out the village as daily labourers. Due to remotely located, inaccessible and forest coverage, the dark village is yet to experience illumination brought about by electricity even after so many years of independence.

By building local capacity, we ensure the longevity and effectiveness of our projects.
  • Bridging the Energy Access Gap: We are dedicated to deploying decentralized energy solutions to bridge the energy access gap, bringing power to underserved regions and improving the quality of life for those who need it most.

We mobilized the community, local officials and Gram Panchayat (local government unit) to help design and implement an appropriate mechanism so that a sustainable and community-owned mechanism is established. The initiative enabled the community to come together as a village institution for such great development of their village. And mobilized peoples’ contribution towards design, implement with labour contribution towards construction activities. They have been oriented with various lobby and advocacy trainings, management and maintenance trainings of the infrastructure as well as linked with access to market.

A handover ceremony was organized at Naardigochha village to handover the model infrastructure project constructed to the villagers of Naardigochha. The Hon’ble Member of Parliament of Kandhamala Shri Rudramadhab Ray was presented during the handover ceremony. He promised to provide a school in the village as well as repair an old culvert (small bridge) in the next few months.
