Context: Accumulation of garbage on sidewalks and street corners has left a jeopardising impact on the overall health of the citizens. Life-threatening cases of vector-borne diseases are rampant in the city due to littering and throwing garbage in public areas. We at The We Foundation decided to raise awareness and inspire individuals to take small steps for a long-lasting Impact : a cleaner, healthier neighbourhood.
Objective: To generate awareness of the collective social responsibility of keeping our cities clean and avoid littering.
Impact: Over 5000 citizens participated in the cleanliness drive.
Project summary: On 2nd October 2023, communities came together to witness and participate in an enthusiastic cleanliness drive.
