Empowering Young Minds: How Project NeuroHope Sparked a Mental Wellness Movement in Bengaluru

In March 2025, The WE Foundation, in partnership with CGI, launched Project NeuroHope at APS Polytechnic College in Bengaluru—an initiative designed to strengthen mental health awareness and empower engineering students to manage academic stress with confidence.

Over the course of the program, two powerful and transformative sessions were conducted, each equipping students with practical tools for emotional resilience:

  • Session 1: Online Stress Management Workshop
Led by Soma Chatterjee, founder of Inner Wisdom Light, this session introduced students to the Release, Reset, Retain (RRR) framework, effective breathing exercises, and productivity techniques like the Pomodoro Method. Students learned how to pause, recalibrate, and regain control during stressful academic cycles.
  • Session 2: In-Person Mind–Body Wellness Session
Facilitated by Apurva Prasanna from the Art of Living Foundation, this dynamic workshop engaged students in breathwork, guided meditation, and emotional empowerment techniques. The session deepened their understanding of the mind-body connection and provided a safe space for self-reflection and mental grounding.

The impact was both immediate and inspiring. Over 100 students participated, and feedback was overwhelmingly positive—
✔️ 90% reported feeling more confident in managing stress
✔️ 85% found the techniques highly practical and transformative
✔️ Many expressed a strong desire for regular follow-up sessions

These responses underline a vital truth: young people urgently need compassionate mental health support within academic environments.

Project NeuroHope is more than a program—it is a growing movement.
A movement to create safe, supportive learning spaces where students can thrive emotionally as well as intellectually. Through awareness, mindfulness tools, and empathetic engagement, The WE Foundation is committed to nurturing the mental well-being of India’s youth.

Project NeuroHope stands as a testament to our mission: to empower minds, uplift communities, and build a healthier future—one student at a time.
