The We Foundation’s Solar PV Technician Training Program is making a real impact by providing young people with the skills they need to succeed in the growing field of renewable energy. This program, held at Acharya Pathshala Polytechnic in Bangalore, offers 600 hours of practical, hands-on training in solar technology, preparing participants to become certified Solar PV Installers. A total of 50 passionate candidates were selected from over 150 applicants. Through this training, students learn everything from the basics of solar energy to the technical details of photovoltaic systems. They are taught about key components like solar modules, inverters, charge controllers, and batteries. This knowledge enables them to understand how solar energy works and how to install and maintain solar systems effectively.
The program is designed not only to build technical expertise but also to create meaningful job opportunities in the renewable energy sector. The training equips students with the skills that are in demand in today’s green energy market, helping them launch careers that contribute to a sustainable, cleaner future.
