The We Foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals by equipping them with essential skills that drive success. In line with this mission, we launched a transformative training program under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 4.0) to recognize and enhance the skills of workers specializing in hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This initiative aimed not only to certify their existing expertise but also to provide valuable upskilling opportunities to improve workplace safety, productivity, and technical competence in industrial settings.
Industries reliant on mechanical systems, especially hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, require skilled workers to ensure efficiency and safety. Many workers in this field have gained experience through hands-on work but lack formal certification. Recognizing this gap, The We Foundation introduced the training to certify their skills, update their knowledge on modern systems, and align their capabilities with national standards under the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF).
Over the course of 480 hours, participants gained in-depth knowledge in two key areas: hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical belt conveyor systems. They learned about system components, troubleshooting, maintenance, and safety protocols, ensuring they are better equipped to handle the demands of their jobs.
This initiative not only enhanced the participants’ technical abilities but also helped them meet industry standards, opening up new opportunities for career advancement. The success of this program underscores our commitment to creating a more skilled and competent workforce, one that is prepared to thrive in an ever-evolving industrial landscape.
