Access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) is fundamental to building a healthy learning environment. Through the Swachh Gurukul initiative, The We Foundation has partnered with key stakeholders to transform WASH infrastructure in government schools across Howrah. This project ensures that thousands of students can study in safe, clean, and dignified spaces
Our Mission
The Swachh Gurukul project aims to:
- Renovate and construct durable WASH facilities, including hygienic toilets.
- Install functional handwashing stations to promote hygiene practices.
- Provide access to clean drinking water with advanced water purifiers.
- Ensure menstrual hygiene management through sanitary napkin dispensers and incinerators.
By addressing these critical needs, the initiative reduces absenteeism, fosters better health, and enhances the learning experience for all students.
